Chris Bailey
Owner/Principal Photographer
An encourager, a leader, and a connector, Chris believes in the power of photography as both an art form and a way to draw people into the emotion of a moment. His love for the medium began in middle school, where he immersed himself in the craft of film photography, developing prints in his own darkroom and discovering a passion that has shaped his life ever since.
Inspired by photographers celebrated for their attention to detail and emotionally resonant images, Chris combined his artistic eye with his natural gift for connection—an ability to put others at ease and capture them authentically. This instinct led him to weddings and events, where storytelling and human connection are at the heart of every image.
After earning a degree in Studio Art from the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em, Horns!), Chris returned to Houston and opened his eponymous studio in 2008. His own wedding to his high school sweetheart, Regan, further deepened his understanding of the significance of these moments. Fittingly, it was photographed by David, who years earlier had sold Chris some of his first darkroom equipment. A serendipitous beginning to a lasting friendship and creative partnership.
Known for his ability to encourage and truly see people, Chris approaches photography as a way to honor their stories. Through steadfast presence, listening, and care, he transforms fleeting moments into lasting legacies, beautifully told through his lens.

David Bates
A free spirit with a wealth of experience and technical mastery, David has always seen photography as a way of life. He first picked up a camera at age 11, when his father encouraged him to enter a zoo photo contest. Though he placed second, his image was selected to advertise the contest; an early sign of the vision that would define his career.
Drawn to the discipline of black-and-white film and the nuances of working with natural light, David honed his skills before earning a degree in photography from the Art Institute of Houston in 1986. These foundations gave him the tools to cultivate not only technical expertise but also a distinctive artistic voice.
Avoiding formula and repetition, David gravitates toward moments of substance—those candid, unguarded expressions that reveal the heart of a person or occasion. Over the course of capturing more than 500 weddings, his gift for documentary-style photography is apparent in the thousands of images that now live as heirlooms in albums, frames, and homes across generations.
For David, being entrusted with life’s most intimate milestones is a profound honor. Known for his ability to read people and put them at ease, he enters each event with presence and care, creating photographs that are candid, authentic, and heritage-worthy.

Sarah Austin
Attentive, intuitive, and innately curious, Sarah is passionate about people and the stories they carry, believing that every meaningful photograph begins with trust. From her earliest days capturing candid snapshots of classmates to studying photojournalism at the University of North Texas, she has devoted her life to cultivating both her craft and her relationships.
Drawn not to headlines but to life’s most joyful milestones, Sarah found her calling in wedding, event, and portrait photography, where artistry and emotion intertwine. As both photographer and studio manager, she balances organization with insight, bringing calm and focus to even the most dynamic celebrations and portrait sessions.
Known for her grounded presence and gift for putting people at ease, Sarah captures the subtle gestures and fleeting expressions that define a moment in time. A joyful smile, a parent’s look of pride, a burst of laughter—she treasures the opportunity to preserve these delicate, unrepeatable moments as photographs her clients will treasure for a lifetime.

Her dedication is evident in the quality of her work, but her greatest reward is seeing the joy her images bring to clients.
